According to relevant information, around 2003, Sony Corporation and then Philips Semiconductor (now NXP Semiconductor) cooperated to develop a safer, faster and compatible wireless communication technology based on non-contact RF card technology. After several months of research and development, both parties jointly released a wireless communication technology that is compatible with the IS014443 contactless card protocol, named NFC (Near Field Communication), and the specific communication specification is called the NFCIP-1 specification. Shortly after the release of NFC technology, both parties submitted a draft standard to the European Computer Manufacturers Association (ECMA), applying to become a near field communication standard and quickly being recognized as the ECMA.340 standard. Subsequently, with the help of ECMA, they submitted a standard application to ISO/IEC and ultimately were recognized as the ISO/IECl8092 standard.
